This is Mary. Nikolas met Mary this weekend at the Bird-In-Hand Half Marathon. They ran together for a little bit during the race. She asked Nikolas to sign her bib number, saying he is such an inspiration and he is doing such a wonderful thing: running to help others!  Thanks, Mary! Nikolas hopes to run with you again.

Nikolas had a great time at the Bird-In-Hand Half Marathon this weekend. He had so much fun starting off the runners at the race and speaking (and eating s'mores) the night before! Thanks for the invitation, Mr. Smucker!  This race is so wonderful and they have the most unique awards—last year it was a plaque with road apples on it (for real!) and this year, a horseshoe. So cool!

Nikolas is so excited that he has been asked to start the Bird-In-Hand Half Marathon on September 7th! And he is also invited to accompany Bart Yasso, Runner's World Magazine's Running Editor, to speak at the s'mores bonfire the night before the run!  This is so exciting! Another chance to spread the word about Operation Warm while eating s'mores, pretty nice!  http://www.bihhalf.com/bonfire-and-smores-party-featuring-bart-yasso.php

Busy, busy, busy! Nikolas started his 5th grade school year last week and has been adjusting to a school schedule. What subject do you think is his favorite? Could it perhaps be PE? :)

Over the weekend, Nikolas was lucky to participate in the MS Run the US event. This nonprofit hosts events to help support MS research. Pictured here is Ashley Kumlien, founder and the woman who runs the entire distance across America (3,288 miles) to help people suffering from this disease. People are invited to jump in anywhere along the route to show their support. Starting the journey in San Francisco, Ashley is scheduled to arrive in New York on September 6th. Good luck, Ashley!  You can learn more & support Ashley's cause at http://www.msruntheus.com.

Ashley and Nikolas are both proud ambassadors of NOW and A3  - the awesome energy and snack bars they always take with them when they're "on the run."
