Today, Nikolas visited a local school and talked to the fourth graders about his Running the World for Children campaign! It was his first presentation in front of a large group, and he did tremendously. The kids (who were all his age) asked lots of questions and were very excited and inspired by what he was doing! Way to go, Nikolas! Photo courtesy of Pamela Lauroff One of the many fine runners participating in the White Continent Marathon with Nikolas was Eddie Vega. He attempted to run the marathon in his bare feet, though eventually had to don his shoes and was the last runner to finish. Nikolas had been finished for some time but wanted to encourage Eddie, so he put on his penguin suit and ran back out to meet Eddie near the end and finished the race (again) with him! Eddie has set a fine example of perseverance and determination for Nikolas. As for Nikolas, what do you think he demonstrated by reaching out to support a fellow runner? |
