Nikolas had the honor of starting the kids' race today at the MMM with Trent Platt, a bone marrow recipient at age 1. He is now a healthy 8-year-old! A true miracle! Running the World for Children—Stateside! That’s right, Nikolas has begun his new project running a marathon in each of the 50 states. The next phase of his campaign is still in its developing stages, but he is continuing to run to help kids. On Sunday, he is running in the Miracle Match Marathon in Waco, Texas. It supports a cause that matches bone marrow donors with people who need transplants. Edward Toocheck, Nikolas’s grandfather, suffered from leukemia and was the recipient of a marrow transplant. Unfortunately, he died years before Nikolas ever had the chance to meet him. The race director of the MMM is kindly honoring Edward Toocheck’s memory by naming him as a “Mile Honoree.” The info is below if you would like to donate to the cause. Good luck, Nikolas!http://miraclematchmarathon.net/
