 On Saturday, Nikolas had the pleasure of meeting Larry Macon, the world record holder for most marathons completed in one year (at 67, he completed 153 marathons and actually broke his own record for the 3rd time!). Nikolas was able to run with him for a little while during the Triple Crown Trail Half Marathon. This was a really fun run for Nikolas, complete with creek crossings and muddiness!

 On Friday evening, Nikolas participated in the Healthy Kids Running Series, and CNN came to interview Nikolas! Pictured here, Nikolas is approaching the finish line where he placed first in his age group! Notice the cameraman following Nikolas? We'll let you know when the segment airs on TV. Thanks, CNN, for helping Nikolas spread the word about Operation Warm to help keep kids warm!
 Last night, Nikolas was recognized as a Flyers Community Teammate! An honor given to individuals or groups for their positive contributions to our local community. Nikolas and his dad both received custom Flyers jerseys. Nikolas chose the #7 for seven continents and dad chose #26 for marathon distance. Congratulations, Nikolas (and dad, too)!
Tomorrow night, Nikolas is being recognized as a Flyers Teammate! This program was developed to recognize an individual or group for their positive contributions to our local community. Congratulations, Nikolas!  Many runs have been organized for this evening to honor the lives lost in Boston last week. Tonight, Nikolas will be "running the bases" at his baseball game to show his support! Good luck to all the runners and be safe.

 Trail Creek Outfitters and Velo Amis are hosting a running series in which Nikolas is participating. They graciously invited Nikolas to set up a donation table at each of the 4 races. Sunday was the first race of this year's event and Nikolas raised money there for Operation Warm! Thank you, TCO and Velo Amis for helping with the cause! http://trailcreekseries.org
 Every year, Nikolas celebrates his birthday with his friends a few weeks after his birthday so that they can play outside. This year they played a baseball game and this picture shows Nikolas celebrating after he hit a 3 run home run! He had an especially great time because he asked his friends to give the gift of warmth in place of gifts for him. His friends donated to his cause! Thank you for giving the gift of warmth!
 At the first race in a running series hosted by Trail Creek Outfitters and Velo Amis. Nikolas arrived at the race, and who should he see but Steve Schaefer, the winner of the White Continent Marathon in Antarctica! It was very exciting to see him again thousands of miles from where they met; it's a small world!
 On Saturday night, Nikolas received this Hometown Hero Award from the Philadelphia 76ers! They recognized him for the impact he is making in the community as he Runs the World for Children! Congratulations, Nikolas!
