 Nikolas Skyped with his mom late this morning while he bounced on the bed in his hotel room. Clearly still full of energy only a few hours after he finished the Punta Arenas Half Marathon, placing FIRST overall and setting his new half-marathon personal record! An unplanned, exciting, and fun experience to add to his long list of extraordinary adventures! A happy boy indeed! Congratulations, Nikolas!

 He did it! Nikolas is the youngest person to ever complete an entire marathon on Antarctica! Congratulations, Nikolas! We are so proud of you. Everyone, please show your support by donating to Operation Warm to help kids in need—Nikolas's motivation for running the world. Wohoo!!!!!
 And the race is on! Nikolas leaves Chile tonight at 11pm to begin the White Continent Marathon at 4:30 with the sunrise! Here's Nikolas with Kristen De Sousa, a 15-year-old marathoner also running the continents for charity. They are both running on Antarctica tomorrow! Good luck, Nikolas and Kristen!  And they're off! Nikolas and his dad boarded a flight heading south, way south. Safe travels!  Thanks to many of you, lots of kids are able to play out in the snow all across the US! There is LOTS of snow where Nikolas lives. How much snow is around you? Wrap an extra scarf around the snowman!
