And Nikolas is off! Up and out early to the Bird-in-Hand Half Marathon feeling strong, happy, & excited! Go Nikolas!
Nikolas with Janet Oberholtzer, an amazing woman with an incredible life story of how close she came to losing her life to how she reclaimed it and her passion for running. She wrote a book Because I Can - Doing what I can, with what I have, where I am. We told her we would like to buy a copy of her book and she graciously gave us a copy instead! She gave us this gift because she loves what Nikolas is doing to help others! We are donating the money to OW in honor of Janet. Thank you Janet! We look forward to seeing you in October at the Runner's World Festival! Nikolas is resting before he goes to a bonfire tonight, which kicks off the half marathon festivities! He's so excited for tomorrow morning!
Nikolas is carb loading for the half- only 2 days away! Oh, and maybe a cookie or two - he is 9 after all :)
Operation Warm receives first donation as a result of Nikolas wearing the Running the World for Children shirt! He met three very nice ladies at a festival in Pittsburgh. They work for Chuck Wagon Old-Fashioned Soda, and were interested in his shirt. When Nikolas told them about his cause, they donated money for a new coat! How cool is that? Thank you very much!
